Photonic manipulation and photothermal conversion: Theoretical and experimental investigations on nanoscale energy transport and advanced optothermal properties of metamaterials using theoretical, RCWA, and FDTD simulation

Metamaterials: Advanced functionalities of photonic metamaterials, including spectral selectivity, self-adaptivity, and extreme environment resistance

Design and fabrication: nanofabrication of multifunctional materials, for instance, phase-transition-metamaterials for thermal diode and transistors, nanoparticles-nanofiber composites, reconfigurable 2D/3D surface gratings, and synthesis of sustainable biomaterials

Applications: Functional materials passive thermal management, thermophotovoltaics, waste heat harvesting, non-contact-mode thermal diode, self-adaptive radiative cooling and solar heating, solar-driven water evaporation, and atmospheric water harvesting
